ELITE SOLO TRAVEL

Back in 2018 I realised that there was an increasing market for solo travellers who did not want to join the standard tours that have been on offer for a number of years. I spoke to many clients from around the world who were interested in small group tours, but didn’t want to visit typical destinations, whilst staying in basic accommodation, and they definitely didn’t like the idea of sharing a room with a stranger! 

It is for exactly these reasons that Elite Solo Travel was born. I wanted to work with local suppliers to create bespoke tours, that appealed to individuals looking to travel in style, either as part of an exclsive small group tour, or on a private solo tour.  I personally believe the tours we have on offer have a good mix of unique experiences and activities coupled with time to relax in beautiful lodges and stunning destinations.... and of course all our tours offer each traveller their own room at no extra cost.  

The tours are high-end and the price tags do match this. There can be vast differences in what classifies as 'luxury' across the world. In fact,  i  believe the term 'luxury' seems to have lost some meaning in the travel industry as the market is flooded with tours and accommodations claiming to be luxury, without really delivering on this claim. This is actually why I chose to describe our tours as elite. What do I mean by 'elite'. It is lodges and destinations that are commonly regarded as being some of the best on offer in that area. Lodges that have a small and intimate feel but most importantly have excellent levels of service. I love lodges that have verandas with beautiful views of nature, and places where there are areas dedicated to relaxation (think cosy libraries, big comfy sofas and/or beautiful pools). After all holidays should be about relaxing and rejuvenating, not rushing from place to place without really understanding the destination, its people, history, nature and culture.
